Frequently Asked Questions

When will my service start? 

We aim to update our routes weekly on Tuesdays.

We just need a few days notice to get things updated in our route scheduler and coordinate staff.

 

Otherwise, expect us to start the following trash day.

How does it work?

Single family homes: Our service involves taking your trash and recycling cans out for pickup on scheduled days and returning them to their designated spots once emptied. You simply sign up for our service and leave the rest to us. Book Online today!

Apartments / multifamily homes: Leave your trash outside your door in its bin on the designated pickup days and we will be by to remove it for you.

Do I need to do anything

Sign up and we take it from there. You will need to ensure your cans are accessible outside, not in a garage since we can't enter your home. 

What areas do you serve?

We are expanding covering NC Triangle. If you're unsure whether we cover your area, please contact us for more information.

Can I customize my service schedule?

Single family homes: Yes, you can pause your pickups online via the online pause request form. We follow your local trash / recycling pickup schedule so the day of week is set by that schedule. 

Apartments / multifamily homes: We pick up twice per week. For logistics purposes we need to maintain a set schedule but reach out if needed we are always happy to make an accommodation.

Do I need to be home during pickup and return?

No, you don't need to be home during our service visits. Simply leave your trash cans in the designated pickup area on the scheduled day, and we'll take care of the rest. You will just need to ensure your cans are outside.

When will you pickup and return my cans?

We operate inside HOA and local rules. We employ a number of teens and work around their busy schedules as well. We may vary our timing and sometimes be out very early in the AM or a bit late in the PM to ensure your cans go out and make it back. 

What if I need to modify or cancel my service?

You can easily cancel your service by logging into your online portal. Feel free to reach out if you need anything. If you prefer we do offer the option to pause as well.

We do also offer a pay what you can service for Seniors and active / former military, first responders with mobility limitations.

If there are changes to your pickup day due to holidays or other factors, we'll do our best to notify you in advance and reschedule your service accordingly.

What happens if something falls through the cracks?

If your residential pickup is missed due to an error on our part we will apologize profusely and refund you for that pickup and the next. 

If the town trash pickup doesn't happen as expected for some reason, we will leave your can out as they typically return later or the next day. We will make a note to go back out the following day to return the can so you don't need to if this happens. Reach out if need be via the chat on our website (bottom right corner)

I have a teen who's looking for a part time job, are you hiring?

We are Hiring! Please submit a form on our "about" page and we will review and follow up. Hiring local teens and providing first jobs is one of the best investments we think we can make in the community. We also pay better than most and have more flexible schedules to accommodate everything else going on in busy young person's life.

Anything else worth knowing?

For insurance reasons, pets need to be indoors during pickup and drop-off if you store you cans in the yard or anywhere your pet has access to.
